Wilderness Areas of Southwestern Colorado
The southwestern corner of the state contains the largest mountainous region of Colorado, the rugged San Juan Range. Many of the wilderness areas in Southwest Colorado showcase the high peaks of the San Juan range, but others exhibit the canyons and rivers of the Colorado Plateau.
